1. Introduction

WeekLeft ("we," "our," or "us") operates the website weekleft.com. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.

2. Information We Collect

Calculator tools: All date calculations are performed in your browser using today's date. We do not collect or store the dates you enter.

AI Goal Planner: If you use the AI Goal Planner, the goal text you enter is sent to OpenAI's API to generate your plan. We do not store this text on our servers and do not link it to any personal identifier. OpenAI's data handling is governed by their privacy policy at openai.com.

Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site traffic. This is only loaded after you give consent via the cookie banner. Data collected includes pages visited, approximate location (country/region), device type, and referrer. IP addresses are anonymised. We do not collect personal identifiers.

Server logs: Our hosting provider (Vercel) maintains standard server logs including IP addresses for security and abuse prevention. Logs are retained for 30 days.

Contact form: If you submit the contact form, we receive your name, email, and message to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list.

3. Cookies

We use Google Analytics cookies to understand site traffic. You can opt out at any time by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) or by using your browser's privacy settings.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the OpenAI API for the AI Goal Planner feature. Your goal input is transmitted to OpenAI's API subject to their Privacy Policy. We use Google Analytics 4 subject to Google's Privacy Policy. We use Vercel for hosting, subject to Vercel's Privacy Policy.

5. Your Rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. To exercise these rights, email us at hello@weekleft.com. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Data Retention

Analytics data: 14 months (Google Analytics default). Server logs: 30 days. Contact form messages: 12 months from receipt.

7. Children's Privacy

WeekLeft is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
